Our Mission
Founded in the 1980s by local Tuskegee Institute Alumni, (Dr. Fostine Riddick- Roache class of ’39, Nursing) as the Tidewater Tuskegee Alumni Cub and later changed it’s name to Hampton Roads Tuskegee Alumni Club in 2018, our mission:

To foster the ideals of Tuskegee University.

To promote closer fellowship among the alumni of the Hampton Roads Area.

To provide an avenue for encouraging financial support of the university.

To serve as a medium for keeping alumni apprised concerning the university-its plans, its needs, its problems, and its progress toward the realization of goals and objectives.

To represent the university in the community and make the community aware of the alumni.

To engage in recruitment activities and encourage local students to enroll in the university.

To serve as role models for students considering enrolling in the university and assist students where necessary to facilitate their admission or continuous matriculation at the university; and

To support the university in its advancement of higher education and planning programs to meet the needs of society and the youth of today.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Tuskegee University's President, Dr. Mark Brown will be the Keynote Speaker for Hampton University's 2026 Founders Day Weekend celebration. The program will take place on Jan. 25 on the campus of Hampton University, Ogden Hall . All are welcome to join and support this powerful collaboration with our sister school.

Auditions for Tuskegee University Marching Crimson Piper band will take place in Hampton Roads Virginia on January 31!! The Band Director & the Tuskegee University Recruitment and Admissions Team will be onsite to offer band admissions and scholarships. Register for consideration and more details.
